NTUC FairPrice Foundation is a registered charity set up by NTUC FairPrice. It was launched in March 2008, with a pledge of $50 million over 10 years from NTUC FairPrice, and a mission to provide “A Better Life for the Community”.

 

Corporate philanthropy is very much a part of NTUC FairPrice's DNA. Over the years, it has played a key role in moderating the cost of living for the average Singaporean. With the launch of the Foundation, FairPrice is now one step closer to its vision to be a world-class retailer with a heart.

 

With the Foundation in place, FairPrice is now better organised for corporate giving and is in a better position to support and contribute to causes that are aligned to their social mission in a systematic and sustained manner. The foundation also serves as an institutional tribute to FairPrice's commitment to serve, care and share with the community at large.

In commemoration of 45th Founders’ Day, FairPrice Foundation donates $1.2 million through the FairPrice Food Voucher scheme to help needy families alleviate their daily cost of living. In collaboration with People’s Association, the grocery vouchers will be distributed to more than 20,000 needy families and individuals through the 89 Advisors of the Grassroots Organisations. Since launched in 2002, S$16.8 million worth of FairPrice vouchers have been distributed. More

In commemoration of Community Chest 35th anniversary and our collaboration in support for the less fortunate in Singapore, this year’s Heartstring walk brought 8,000 people together from all parts of the community. This signifies a collective effort to build one community that shares, and a nation that cares. Guest of Honour, Mr Teo Chee Hean, Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security flagged off the walk. He is also joined by Speaker Tan Chuan-Jin, and Mr Desmond Lee, Minister for Social and Family Development and Second Minister for National Development. FairPrice staff brought their families to join in the 4km fun walk and two team of FairPrice staff also took part in the heart-pounding competitive Vertical Marathon race. More

The Thye Hwa Kwan Moral Society's charity show was telecasted live on Mediacorp 8, where it acknowledged FairPrice Foundation for its donation of $100,000, which will go towards more than 90 programmes and services such as therapy services, residential homes for the disabled and meal delivery for the aged and many more. The funds raised during the charity show will also help about 55,000 needy under THK’s care. More

FairPrice Foundation continues its support for Community Chest Charity in The Park (CIP)

FairPrice Foundation continued its support as a Gold partner for Community Chest Charity in the Park by donating $100,000. This contribution will go towards in supporting about 80 social service organisations in Singapore. The theme of the CIP “Empowering Lives through Inclusiveness" was to encourage the inclusions of persons with disabilities in society as well as for organisations to provide a holistic support for them so that they can be empowered to live a life with dignity in a caring and inclusive society. FairPrice Foundation supports The President's Star Charity

In its 24th edition, the President Star Charity Show - themed "It takes all of us" - aims to inspire the community to do their part to help the less fortunate. FairPrice Foundation contributed $300,000 through Community Chest and the contribution was acknowledged at the 2-hour charity show that was broadcast Live over Mediacorp Channel 5. The Charity Show raised $7.66 million whereby the proceeds will go to 52 charities under the President's Challenge. FairPrice Foundation also contributed FairPrice Housebrand essential food and daily necessities for 336 senior citizens and low-income families living in HDB flats. Members of the public joined radio personalities like Joakim Gomez and Sonia Chew to pack and distribute these into goody bags. More
