The FairPrice Foundation was established in 2008 as FairPrice Group’s philanthropic arm. It serves the poor and needy, aims to strengthen collective efforts to deepen community bonds, and champion workers’ welfare, especially when it comes to everything food.
FairPrice Foundation works with over 150 beneficiary organisations every year to drive social impact and improve lives within the community. Its efforts are aimed at ensuring food security for the poor and needy in Singapore, deepening community bonding, and improving worker welfare, especially when it comes to everything food.
Established in 1994, Ren Ci Hospital provides affordable medical, nursing and rehabilitation care to the elderly and underprivileged in Singapore, regardless of race, religion, or background. A long-time supporter of Ren Ci Hospital’s Patient Care Programme, FairPrice Foundation donates funds to the hospital that go towards supporting the nursing care needs of destitute patients.
Food from the Heart (FFTH) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to combating hunger and providing aid to those who need it most. Since its founding in 2003, it has reached out to over 60,000 beneficiaries in Singapore. FairPrice Foundation is the main sponsor of FFTH’s Clean Plate Campaign, a programme to reduce food waste and feed the needy.
As Singapore’s cornerstone for caring and sharing, Community Chest has rallied the community in service of the nation’s vulnerable and needy since 1983. FairPrice Foundation collaborated with Community Chest to support the programmes and initiatives of the social service agencies it works with, such as the Heartstrings Buy and Community Chest Charity TV Show donation drives.
FairPrice Group’s Community Block Parties were first launched during National Day 2023 to bring together heartland residents in celebration of festive occasions and provide Singaporeans with an opportunity to support the vulnerable. Through the initiative, FairPrice Foundation has worked with FairPrice Group to provide needy heartland residents with donations to daily essentials.
The Boys’ Brigade in the world’s first uniformed organisation for youth. In 1930, the first Singapore Company was founded and since then they have been focused on nurturing youths based on Christian values. Since 2000, FairPrice has been stalwart partner of the Boys Brigade’s Share-A-Gift Project, which rallies the public to donate food hampers to more than 40,000 beneficiaries during the Christmas season.
