NTUC FairPrice Foundation is a registered charity set up by NTUC FairPrice. It was launched in March 2008, with a pledge of $50 million over 10 years from NTUC FairPrice, and a mission to provide “A Better Life for the Community”.

 

Corporate philanthropy is very much a part of NTUC FairPrice's DNA. Over the years, it has played a key role in moderating the cost of living for the average Singaporean. With the launch of the Foundation, FairPrice is now one step closer to its vision to be a world-class retailer with a heart.

 

With the Foundation in place, FairPrice is now better organised for corporate giving and is in a better position to support and contribute to causes that are aligned to their social mission in a systematic and sustained manner. The foundation also serves as an institutional tribute to FairPrice's commitment to serve, care and share with the community at large.

FairPrice Foundation supports The President's Star Charity

In its 24th edition, the President Star Charity Show - themed "It takes all of us" - aims to inspire the community to do their part to help the less fortunate. FairPrice Foundation contributed $300,000 through Community Chest and the contribution was acknowledged at the 2-hour charity show that was broadcast Live over Mediacorp Channel 5. The Charity Show raised $7.66 million whereby the proceeds will go to 52 charities under the President's Challenge. FairPrice Foundation also contributed FairPrice Housebrand essential food and daily necessities for 336 senior citizens and low-income families living in HDB flats. Members of the public joined radio personalities like Joakim Gomez and Sonia Chew to pack and distribute these into goody bags. More

FairPrice Foundation continues to support the Pupil Breakfast Scheme

FairPrice Foundation continues to support to the Pupil Breakfast Scheme with a donation of $75,000 to Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre (Jurong). This was announced on 26 November 2017 at the Annual Appreciation Dinner hosted by Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre in appreciation of its volunteers and supporting partners. The Pupil Breakfast Scheme which started in 2006 to provide free breakfast for needy Primary and Secondary School students within Jurong GRC, Yuhua and Bukit Batok SMC has benefited 644 students from 19 schools this year. Community Chest Christmas on A Great Street Light-up raised close to $1.4 million which will go towards about 80 social service organisations supported by Community Chest, including those that provide vocational training and employment assistance for persons with disabilities, such as Autism Resource Centre, Metta School, APSN Delta Senior School, and MINDS. FairPrice Foundation being a gold partner for this event continues its support to spread festive joy to the less privileged and celebrating their abilities. More
