NTUC FairPrice Foundation is a registered charity set up by NTUC FairPrice. It was launched in March 2008, with a pledge of $50 million over 10 years from NTUC FairPrice, and a mission to provide “A Better Life for the Community”.

 

Corporate philanthropy is very much a part of NTUC FairPrice's DNA. Over the years, it has played a key role in moderating the cost of living for the average Singaporean. With the launch of the Foundation, FairPrice is now one step closer to its vision to be a world-class retailer with a heart.

 

With the Foundation in place, FairPrice is now better organised for corporate giving and is in a better position to support and contribute to causes that are aligned to their social mission in a systematic and sustained manner. The foundation also serves as an institutional tribute to FairPrice's commitment to serve, care and share with the community at large.

To show our care and support for an inclusive nation, FairPrice staff & families join in the 4km Community Chest Heartstrings Walk organised by Community Chest and Marina Bay Sands and two teams sprint to the top of 57 levels in the competitive Sky Vertical Marathon Challenge. As a diamond partner, FairPrice Foundation contributed $288,000 for this annual walk that brings together people from all parts of the community to signify a collective effort to build one community that shares, and a nation that cares. FairPrice Foundation partners North East CDC (NE CDC) through the "Wishes For The Community " project involving more than 30 community partners including schools, grassroots organisations, corporates who contributed efforts by creating original artworks with origami stars. With 150 original artworks submission that contributed $100,000 donation towards the North East Tuition Subsidy scheme, this will provide tuition subsidies for 144 students from less-privileged families living in the North East district More
